2007 World Series of Poker Winner

Jerry Yang was the winner of the 2007 World Series and boy does his story of how he got into the tournament inspire everyone to give it a go. He won a satellite tournament that cost him just $225 and during the course of the tournament he managed to beat 6358 other poker players to land the top prize.

Jerry made an honorable pledge before he got to the final table and that pledge was to donate 10% of any winnings to childrens charities including Feed the Children. Well it was a dream come true when he landed the $8.25 jackpot and his chosen charities received their donation.

Jerry has six children and was born in 1968, and before he goes all-in he always kisses pictures of his children which we have to say does appear to bring him great luck!

They are holding several satellites the first being Sit and Go’s these are continous until 12 noon NY time 29th June. The entry is $14+$1.4 ( 1 in 10 ) it is a feeze out and you get $1.5k in starting chips and there are 7 minute levels.
