The WSOP Main Event of The World Series of Poker is when the action really warms up and you need to be looking out for it on July the 3rd. This year they have chosen to have a large gap from July 14th until the final table which begins on November 9th

It is expected that this years event will be one of the highest paying with a record top prize and as usual we are expecting fireworks all the way. Below is the schedule for the final event.

2001 World Series of Poker Winner 

Juan Carlos Mortensen is known as The Matador and within the first four years of playing poker managed to win an amzing $1.5 million at the 2001 World Series of Poker Main event. He is no stranger to being in the top prize winners playing poker tournaments and he has some very big wins.

Back in 2007 he won the prestigeous Bellagio Five Star World Poker Tour Championship which has a very big buy-in of $25,000. This and his WSOP win has secured his place in the top poker players league.
